Abstract
The paper presents the experience and multidisciplinary inter-institutional evaluation of water quality and watershed delineation/neighborhoods in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. The work builds,in a collaborative and multidisciplinary way, an index of water quality of urban rivers and its sources and limits, based on the notions of identity and belonging, a proposal for delimitation of watershed and basin districts. The result of this work is the publication of a vast documentation on the subject and the elaboration of proposals for institutionalization of these territorial clippings, aiming at supporting implementation of public policies.
