Abstract

ABSTRACT

The Institutional Security Cabinet of the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil, through the Center for Critical Infrastructure Security (NSIEC), coordinates the work of identifying critical infrastructure of Brazil, which are facilities, services, assets and systems which lead to disruption or destruction serious impact on social, environmental, economic, political, international or security of the state and society. After approval of the National Policy of Critical Infrastructure Security are expected, among others: elaboration of the National Plan of Critical Infrastructure Security, with basics for security sector plans of water, communications, energy, transport and finance, and adoption of national system monitoring. The water sector was divided into dams and urban water supply. The critical infrastructures are being identified by a specific methodology and will be evaluated for risk management and monitored by NSIEC. This work becomes even more relevant due to the 2014 World Cup and Olympic Games 2016.
