RESUMO
O presente trabalho aborda, de maneira sutil, mas sem se abster dos fatos, a tragédia da Barragem de Algodões I, no Estado do Piauí, Brasil. O que se segue no corpo do trabalho é um estudo sobre as principais causas do rompimento da barragem e critérios para uma compreensão do laudo pericial apresentado pelas autoridades competentes. Paralelamente, a pesquisa tenta verificar, por meio do laudo em si e das circunstâncias in loco, se as reivindicações das vítimas estão sendo conferidas as mesmas, com a devida significância e compatibilidade do que lhes é de direito. Frente a isso, uma breve abordagem sobre quesitos técnicos e de natureza hidráulica fomentam o assunto, demonstrando, a princípio, informações sobre composi- ção, estrutura, ciclo, execução e prevenção de obras de caráter ambiental e sustentável. Para desenvolver tal processo metodológico, a aplicação de um senso crítico no laudo e a observação direta proporcionaram uma comparação eficaz entre teoria e prática. Tal fase do processo comparativo também foi influenciada pelos escritos de Marcelo Corrêa Mendonça, Gabriela Nunes, dentre outros. Através de todo esse escopo, muitos eventos se colorem com argumentos consideráveis, porém, em suma, o que se percebe ainda é a lentidão nos processos indenizatórios das famílias vítimas da barragem e a busca por responsáveis no desastre, ocasionadas pela falha nos autos e consequentemente pela negligência dos sujeitos em se manifestarem favoráveis à reconquista da dignidade dos sobreviventes.

ABSTRACT
The present work approaches, in a subtle way, but without refraining of the facts, the tragedy of Barragem de Algodões I, in the State of Piauí, Brazil. What is followed in the body of the work it is a study on the main causes of the breaking of the dam and approaches for an understanding of the report know-how presented by the competent authorities. Parallelly, the research tries to verify, by means of the report in itself and of the circumstances in loco, if the revindications of the you slay the same ones they are being checked with the due importance and compatibility than it is they of right. Front to that, a brief study on technical inquiries and of hydraulic nature they foment the subject demonstrating, at first, information about composition, it structures, cycle, execution and prevention of works of environmental and maintainable character. To develop such a methodological process, the application of a sense critical in the report and the direct observation they provided an effective comparison among theory and practice. Such phase of the comparative process was also influenced by writings Marcelo Corrêa Mendonça, Gabriela Nunes and others. Through that whole vision, many events are colored with considerable arguments, even so, in highest, what is noticed it is still the slowness in the families victims' of the dam processes of compensation and the search for responsible persons in the disaster, caused by the flaw in the solemnities and consequently for the negligence of the subjects in if they manifest favorable to the reconquest of the survivors' dignity.
