Abstract

The National Health Foundation participates alongside the Secretariat of Health Surveillance, Ministry of Health, health departments of states and municipalities with actions taken under the "Plan for Preparedness and Response of the Health System Front Associated with Flooding Disaster." This proposal is strategic planning carried out in partnership with the three spheres of government (federal, state and municipal) aiming at the implementation of mitigation measures to control in order to minimize the imminent risks to exposed populations in relation to water quality for human consumption. The actions take place through specialized technical teams that lead an adapted car (mobile unit), with field laboratory capable of performing the monitoring of water quality parameters for drinking water pipes in cars and forms of water supply in the camps. The measures developed seek to train health barriers with a view to implementation of disinfection procedures.
