We are pleased to announce that Dr. SM Wahid has joined the editorial team of Water International, replacing Charlotte McAlister as a technical Associate Editor. Dr SM Wahid works as Principal Research Scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia. His research focuses on integrated water resources management, climate change and water resources assessment, flood/drought forecasting and warning, risk and hazard management, and river basin management. He has published about 70 international peer reviewed journals, conference proceedings, book chapters, technical manuals, reports and educational materials on these subjects. He has more than 25 years’ experience in research and development work and played prominent role in bringing together 20 multidisciplinary research partners across several South Asian countries for Sustainable Development Investment Portfolio initiated by the Australian government. Wahid is an international Advisory Board Member of the International Network on Sustainable Water Management in Developing Countries (SWINDON) program established by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
