This session will explore the role of Networks in advancing soil and water-energy-food system sustainability through transdisciplinary research, education, engagement, and experiential learning. These networks integrate diverse scientific disciplines, Indigenous and local knowledge, and stakeholder collaboration to co-produce actionable and transformative solutions for complex environmental challenges. By catalyzing cross-disciplinary, cross-sectoral, crossscalar dialogue among scientists, policymakers, and local communities, they help bridge disciplinary silos, address data fragmentation and sharing, and enhance communication. Drawing on regional, national, and global case studies, the session will showcase best practices in governance, research collaboration, and community engagement, emphasizing how network science strengthens our capacity for collective action and contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
