Morocco faces increasing water scarcity driven by climate change, irregular rainfall, and growing demand. In semi-arid basins such as Ahmed El Hansali, accurate inflow forecasting is essential for managing drinking water supply, irrigation, and hydropower. Traditional statistical models struggle with the non-linear rainfall–runoff behavior of this region. This study applies AI and machine-learning models to forecast monthly inflow using 54 years of hydrometeorological data, supporting better decision-making and climate-resilient water management.
