Abstract

The city of Es-Semara, in the heart of the arid region of Laayoune-Sakia El
Hamra in the south of Morocco, faces extreme water scarcity.

Until recently: the direct discharge of wastewater threatened both biodiversity and natural resources in the region.

This project is about : the collection, treatment, and reuse of wastewater.

The objective is threefold: (1).to reduce environmental impact, (2).to preserve conventional water by substituting it with treated water for certain uses, and (3) to irrigate new green spaces.
