Abstract

Introduction

Access to clean and safe water is a critical determinant of health and wellbeing, particularly in vulnerable communities. Safe water access strengthens resilience against public health threats and advances social equity.

Project Purpose

• WASH for healthy lives (W4HL) project implemented in two states in (North and South) Nigeria

• We sort to explore the use of structured community engagement to protect ground water use and its management for optimal community health

Conclusion

The findings from our study confirms that integrated WASH interventions which involves a combination of strategies can lead to measurable improvements in community health. However, sustained impact will require continued community engagement/reinforcements as well as market-based solutions.
