Abstract

Research Context

The Siroua community relies on:
▪ Family-based agriculture for self-sufficiency
▪ Siroua sheep farming as a key livelihood
▪ Ouaouzguiti carpet weaving, a traditional craft
▪ The commercialization of select products, particularly saffron

People’s challenge:

▪ Climate change threatens agriculture, leading to: water stress, soil degradation, deterioration of vegetation cover.
▪ Youth migration to cities is increasing due to job opportunities.
▪ Not to lose their traditions and cultural heritage.
