Oral: PDFAbstractThree islands, three different stories. In this session, we will learn more about the history of freshwater and its management in the Faroe Islands, in Prince Edward Island (Canada) and in Malta. We will then explore common traits amongst these three islands in relation to environmental and socio-economic challenges and opportunities related to freshwater on the three islands with a particular focus on the water energy nexus. We will also discuss the role of regulation in freshwater management.
