Abstract

Objectives of the study

  • Vegetation change is one of the keyfactors that would ulter the rainfall-runoffprocess by influencing the hydrologicalcycle processes and hydrological physicalparameters.
  • In order to minimize flood risks in riverbasins from the perspective of slope-riversystem, it is effective to fully excavategreen infrastructure and thoroughlyregulate its effect on water cycle.
  • The large-scale ecological constructioncan not only strengthen the impact ofvegetation-soil ecosystem on the floodprocess, but also improve the ability ofgreen infrastructure of the slope system onmitigating flood risks.
  • It is of great scientific significance andpractical value to study the influence ofecological construction on the process offlood. Such research can facilitate betterunderstanding on the basic characteristicsand mechanism of ecological hydrologicalprocess, and further enrichment of therestoration theory of ecological hydrology,so as to support the practice of ecologicalrestoration in Taihang Mountains and otherregions in China.
