Abstract

Drought is the kind of natural disaster with thewidest range, the highest frequency, thelongest duration and the highest disaster ratein the world, it has become an important factorrestricting the development of China’s nationaleconomy.The spatial and temporal distributionof drought in China has also changed underglobal climate change, it showed that droughtis the exclusive natural disaster not only intraditional arid and semi-arid areas such asnortheast, northwest and north China, but alsoin China’s humid and semi humid areas.Drought also occurs frequently in SouthwestChina,which seriously threaten the socialeconomy and ecological environment. So far,how to quantitatively express thecharacteristics of propagation frommeteorological drought to hydrological droughtis a complex problem.
