Abstract

Abstract

The core of the management of water resources is the environmental decision-making process. This process is the environmental condition associated with multiple objectives and multiple decision criteria, which are assessed by indicators drawn from the attributes of possible planning scenarios. This article proposes a system architecture where information is used in an integrated, quantitative models, qualitative, conceptual and cognitive, to create data sets needed for a multi-criteria analysis procedure, to assist decision-making associated with managing water resources in a watershed. The main axis of the proposed architecture is the concept of decision support systems, guided by models, implying the development of interfaces between the actors (planners, scientists, users and decision makers) and the models used, as well as between models and multicriteria analysis procedure used.

Keywords: Environmental Modeling, Multicriteria Analysis, Model-Driven DSS.
