ABSTRACT:
It proposed an alternative to obtain the parameter-Curve Number CN-SCS for locations where there have been no experimental results. Knowing the parameter CN future scenarios are proposed to quantify the maximum flows of the project. We used a basin of creek Moreira / Frigate / RS / Brazil, divided into six sub-basins, estimating the hydrographs for the current and future situation. For the current situation, the parameter CN was obtained using the runoff coefficient (C = 0.45: Rural and C = 0.60: urban). The values of "C" for future scenarios in urban and rural areas were 0.50, 0.55 and 0.60, and 0.65, 0.70 and 0.75, respectively. The CN parameters obtained by the proposed methodology were 73 and 87 for rural and urban areas respectively. For future scenarios, the percentage increases in peak flows of the six sub-basins ranged from 8.5 to 36.8%. The proposed methodology was able to represent the characteristics of the runoff on the watershed.
