ABSTRACT:
The objective was to estimate the inflow and outflow hydrographs for a natural channel located in the river basin of Mirim / RS / Brazil, considering the current conditions of occupation and future scenarios. We used a portion of the channel with 3 km long slope of 0.0003 m m-1, height of 2 m and 60 m wide. The hydrographs tributaries were propagated using the model Muskingun Cunge-linear. Under current conditions of urbanization maximum flow value was 225.03 m³ s-1. Whereas increases were 10, 20 and 30% in the runoff coefficient were obtained percentage increases in peak flows of 255.22, 276.40 and 303.55 m³ s-1 , respectively. The results suggest that structural and / or non-structural measures are taken to contain the flood, since there was an increase of up to 35% at maximum flow.
