Abstract:
The influence of human activities on erosion process can be 100 times more significant that would be considering only the of geological features. However, the sediments production by the erosion process reduces soil fertility and productivity and may cause aquatic environment eutrophication because of the nutrients accumulation. This paper aims to present the parcial results of the nutrients (nitrogen, phosphate and silicate) deposition evaluation on Cruzes river, a tributary of the right bank of the Três Irmãos reservoir, on the Water Resources Management Unit of Baixo Tietê (SP), using temporal integration traps, also known as sedimentation chambers.
