Abstract

The issue of garbage in society actually is a source of great concern, due to the population growth and rapid increase in consumption generates a solid waste excessive disposal domestic, industrial, among others. Besides these factors, it starts with the premise that still coexists with an insufficient number of landfills in relation to traditional "junk" and the first one are considered essential to the conservation of the environment and water sources as a whole. This paper aims to demonstrate the study of water quality in the Salvaterra landfill in Juiz de Fora - MG city, as support for the planning of water resources, minimizing the impacts of this activity on the environment as a whole.
