Nowadays, the climate change linked to rainfall viability is the one of the most discussed topics among scientific because of the amount of natural disasters from its excess or shortage in many regions. It generates a search for areas favorable for the occurrence of natural disasters through the determination of precipitation patterns the best represent each region. Therefore, it is very import grouping of rain with certain characteristics in common, for comparison purposes. This work presents an analysis of patterns of precipitation through the application of geostatistics for the analysis of spatial variability for sub-basin of the river Paraguaçu, where normally, there is an association of low rainfall and high rates of evapotranspiration. We analyzed the average annual rainfall of long-term and the coefficient of irregularity in 56 rainfall stations in the period between October 1975 and March 2007.
