Abstact
The objective of this study was to evaluate the environmental quality of waters of the creek Apeú, located in the municipality of Castanhal-PA, by testing the following parameters: pH, DO, temperature, conductivity, color, turbidity, alkalinity, chloride, BOD, nitrate; ammonia, Total Nitrogen, sulfate, phosphate, total and fecal coliforms and comparing with the provisions of Resolution No. 357/2005 of the National Council of the Environment. Upon completion of the environmental assessment of the main parameters of water quality, it can be seen that they are in line with the conditions and acceptable standards established by resolution 357/05 by the National Council for the Environment, which has to supply water for for human consumption, simplified after treatment.
