Abstract

ABSTRACT

In this article, the focus is given to water resources management as a way to better distribute water to sustain and promote economic and social development, conserving the environment, considering that the proper assessment of demand and the estimation of water availability are key elements for the effective implantation of management tools, especially the water concession of use rights. It is proposed a methodological tool that enables basin committees to promote the territorial allocation of water in order to allow different regions to trade their water availability, while respecting the guarantees levels and the restriction criteria pre-established. It is intended to simulate the various possibilities of water exchange between territories, considering the different levels of satisfaction that a certain amount, with some assurance, can provide to the society in the considered region.
