Abstract
The present paper presents form coefficients of the hydraulical basins applied to small reservoirs in northeast semiarid of Brazil, adjusted a sample of 410 small dams of the state of the Ceará. The adjustment allows the determination of a reservoir volume with the information of the observed water table. Some small dams constructed in Brazilian semiarid region do not possess registers of topographical surveys concerning to its hydraulical basins and, therefore, evaluation of its potentials of accumulation do not make use of curves water level versus volume. This lack of information prejudices the process of making decision if the main data is about the potential volume accumulated in a watershed. The analyzed equation also allows, the determination of the volume from the data of maximum height of water and its corresponding area of flooding, being this last data available through satellites imageries. To define a relation between volume (v) and water table (h) an equation of the polynomial type is adopted in the form V = aHb ; to define a relation between volume (v) water table (h) and water surface (S), in the form V= b-1*H* S.
