IWRA was thrilled to be a collaborating organisation partner for the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, that took place from November 7-9, 2023.
Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s biggest and most influential event on urban innovation. It connects leaders from the most innovative companies, governments and organizations to move cities towards a better future.This year, the focus was on eight key themes: Enabling Technologies, Energy & Environment, Mobility, Governance, Living & Inclusion, Economy, Infrastructure & Building, and Safety & Security.
At this leading international event for the smart city sector, uniting experts and leaders from innovative cities, companies, research centres, and international organisations. IWRA project officers, Monica Garcia Quesada and Sung-Phil Jang, from the IWRA Smart Water Cities Project shed light on some of the smart water technologies in urban developments.
Additionally, over 24,000 professionals from 800+ cities and 600+ international speakers explored urban sustainability and liveability.
