GEOGLOWS-2018 Annual Business meeting “Earth Observations for Water Sustainability”

The annual meeting was hosted by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) in Reading, UK, on 9 – 11 May 2018. The GEO Global Water Sustainability (GEOGLOWS), the freshwater Initiative of the Group on Earth Observations, provides a framework for effectively mobilizing EO assets to address issues of water sustainability through the engagement of governments and communities at the national, local, and regional levels. The agenda included discussions on project-partnerships under GEOGLOWS, such as global hydrological forecasting, the definition of Essential Water Variables, and many others.
