Adapting to Climate Change in Transboundary River Basinsp

Background:
Climate change has acute impacts on water resources, from rising instream temperatures to sea level rise and seawater intrusion, to increased evaporation of water stored in reservoirs and used for irrigation, or severe droughts and on the contrary heavy rains and flooding. Responding to these climate change impacts for water management presents particular challenges for policies and law. This webinar will survey the impact of climate change on water resources at global, transboundary and domestic levels.
Objectives:
The objectives of the webinar are two-fold. One, to provide webinar participants with reports on how climate change is impacting water resources around the world. Two, to foster a comparative dialogue about the different responses to these impacts whether at domestic or transboundary levels.
