The XVII Congress participants entering Korea are required to have a valid passport and a Korean visa issued by the Embassy of Republic of Korea or consular offices in your country. Some countries have a visa waiver or visa-free entry programme with the Republic of Korea, however, under the pandemic COVID-19 situation, this programme has been temporarily suspended.

The countries still eligible for visa-free entry are as follows.

Albania, Andorra, Barbados, Commonwealth of Dominica, Guam, Guyana, Holy See, Ireland, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Palau, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Slovenia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Venezuela, Greece, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Romania, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Estonia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Croatia, Portugal, Poland, France, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland

From 1 September 2021, visa-free foreign visitors need Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) approval in order to obtain the boarding pass and to enter the Republic of Korea. K-ETA is mandatory for nationals or citizens of those above visa-waiver/visa-free entry countries who plan to travel to the Republic of Korea.

Nationals or citizens of K-ETA eligible countries should apply for K-ETA through the official website or mobile app (K-ETA) at least 24 hours before departure. For more information, please visit here, Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA).
