After raising the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the entire world, all travelers entering Korea are required to quarantine themselves for 14 days upon their arrival in Korea starting from 1 April 2020.
For travel since 1 July 2021, limited categories of vaccinated travelers may apply for a quarantine exemption certificate prior to travel. Our Congress falls into the academic purpose category. All required documents will be submitted to the Korean Government for careful review on your eligibility and pass on your applications to foreign affairs departments.
In order to apply for the quarantine exemption, you are required to submit all relevant documents to the Congress Secretariat through email (wwcongress@exco.co.kr/wwcongress2021@gmail.com) by 13 October. Please also make sure that your registration and full payment should be completed before applying for the quarantine exemption.
You are advised to contact the Embassy of Republic of Korea or consular offices in your country to have more accurate information regarding the visa application and Korea Electric Travel Authorization (K-ETA). To see the list of Diplomatic Missions of Republic of Korea, please click here.
