88th ICOLD Annual Meeting & Symposium

India has built 5334 dams which includes Bhakra, Tehri, Sardar Sarovar and many more mega projects. 437 large dams are under construction.
The 88th ICOLD Annual Meeting & Symposium will provide an excellent platform of exchange in the fields of Energy & Water Resources Development and Management.
The Indian National Committee on Large Dam (INCOLD) has prepared an excellent program in an exciting venue, with a Symposium on the theme ‘Sustainable Development of Dams and River Basins’ and a Technical Tour which will include the famous Taj Mahal and its incredible water devices.
India is a country where 50000 MW of hydropower potential developed, but 100000 MW are waiting to be developed. Dam Rehabilitation Improvement Programme (DRIP) and National Hydrology Project (NHP- 175 Million dollars) being funded by the World Bank is being implemented in almost all the States (28 nos.). The approved cost of DRIP Phase-II & III (687 projects) amounting to US$ M 1600. It is therefore a land of opportunity for dam professionals.
Further, an extensive trade exhibition opportunity is available to dam/hydropower companies, instrument manufactures, consultants, contractors and other Govt. as well as private agencies involved with the development of dam/ hydropower engineering in difference countries, to display their capabilities and expertise besides interactions with the decision makers, and also to find joint ventures to participate in the dam rehabilitation works and also in the development of dam/hydropower engineering projects in India.
With around 1500 participants from 100 countries, it will be a unique occasion to meet high level dam experts and decision makers from that very promising part of the world.
