There are 5 types of individual memberships that are tailored to fit your specific needs.

1.Individual: Fellow
In order to become a Fellow Member you must be elected by the IWRA Executive Board.

2. Individual: Regular
Make a meaningful contribution to the water sector and further your knowledge and career by staying informed with IWRA’s journal Water International and our quarterly Newsletter highlighting recent developments in water research. Make announcements on the IWRA Website and Newsletter to inform other members of your expertise in the global water community. Network with other water professionals, institutions and corporations by utilizing the IWRA Member Directory and share activities and publications. Engage in professional networking by participating in our National and Regional Chapters, mail list servers, social networks and IWRA news updates. Benefit from further opportunities to take part in international programs and processes as representative of IWRA. IWRA regularly participates in international processes such as UN Water initiatives, the World Water Forum, etc., and we are always on the lookout to involve our members in them to contribute to important discussions and decisions.

3. Individual: Retiree
Continue your contribution to the international water community by participating in National and Regional Committees to promote sustainable water practices and implementation of scientific research. Maintain your networks by being included in the IWRA Member Directory and directly contacting other water professionals, institutions and corporations. Keep up to date on the latest water related news and research with our quarterly Newsletter and electronic copies of our journal Water International (printed option available). Follow your passion and represent IWRA by participating in international programs and processes to provide a more sustainable and comprehensive water sector for future generations.

4. Individual: Young Professional (35 years and younger)
You graduated, now what? IWRA opens you up to a large network of corporations, institutions and individuals that are dedicated to solving the world’s water issues. Benefit from being included in the IWRA Member Directory, which will allow you to contact other members directly to get involved in the latest research and projects in the water sector. Discover the latest water research by receiving an electronic version of our journal Water International (printed option available) in addition to viewing the journal’s archives and previous issues to gain background information on diverse topics related to water. Participate in our National and Regional Chapters to establish leadership and change in your local water climate as well as benefit from social networks. Expand your experience by participating in international programs and processes that hold international recognition in the water sector. IWRA regularly takes part in important international processes such as UN Water initiatives, the World Water Forum, etc.

5. Individual: Full-Time Student
Looking to get your foot in the door in the international water community? Benefit from free IWRA membership in addition to student discounts to IWRA activities and events. Gain experience by attending IWRA events, joining National and Regional Chapters, and participating in international processes (UN Water initiatives, the World Water Forum, etc.). Network with our other members by being included and having access to our IWRA Membership Directory. Learn from our diverse group of water professionals encompassing all topics related to water. From water technology to water governance, water quality to water security, water policy to hydrology and onwards, IWRA publishes articles in our journal Water International as well as all materials related to our international event, the World Water Congress, for you to view and expand your knowledge of global water issues.

NOTE: Student members do not have voting rights. If you would like to influence IWRA’s direction and contribute to its decision making process, we invite you to consider joining as a one of the other above individual categories as a full member.
