UNESCO-IWRA Online Conference (17-19. 2023)
The International Water Resources Association (IWRA) and UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) are pleased to announce that the UNESCO-IWRA Online Conference on “Emerging Pollutants: Protecting Water Quality for the Health of People and the Environment”, was successfully held on 17-19 January 2023.
The conference brought together experts and researchers from different sectors who presented their work and explored the science, policy, law, economics, and other aspects of emerging pollutants. Furthermore, the conference highlighted the ways the world can advance knowledge, research, and solutions for managing emerging pollutants to improve and protect water quality in a changing world.
The programme consisted of 10 panel sessions featuring 70 presentations, more than 100 poster presentations, and 2 high-level panel sessions featuring some of the world’s leading experts on emerging pollutants.
Thanks to UNESCO’s support, participation was free for all, and all conference-related materials will be open access.
