AbstractBagasse fly ash (BFA) was utilized for the synthesis of zeolites. The synthesized zeolite was characterized using various techniques such as Powder X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, BET method etc. This zeolite as well as the virgin BFA was applied for the removal of Methylene blue and Malachite green from aqueous solution. The effect of various variables, viz, hydronium ion concentration, contact time, dye concentration, sorbent dose, and temperature evaluated. The material exhibited good sorption capacity. The sorption process was found to be endothermic in nature.
